7m/21 ft. This unique large open lagoon called Casa Cenote or Cenote Manatee is brackish and a mixture of fresh and salt water life, named for the manatees who swam in its waters over the many years. The unique peaceful spirit and very surrealistic scenery is a special experience for any diver, especially those who never dived before. The cenote is located in the middle of the mangroves, very close to the ocean. With open areas, this cenote is perfect for novice divers and offers lots of wildlife from the flooded land and the sea, it also has a cenote halocline (where fresh water and salt water for layers) and beautiful lighting effects. Sometimes you can see raccoons that are living in the mangroves who sneak out and grab some bread from the guys working there.
