Casa Cenote/Manatee

7m/21 ft. This unique large open lagoon called Casa Cenote or Cenote Manatee is brackish and a mixture of fresh and salt water life. Named after the manatees who swam in its waters over there many years, no chances to spot them now anymore. The unique peaceful spirit and very surrealistic scenery is a special experience for any diver, especially those who never dived before. The cenote is located in the middle of the mangroves, very close to the ocean. With open areas, this cenote is perfect for novice divers and offers lots of wildlife from the mangroves and the sea, it also has a halocline (where fresh and salt water create a mixing zone) and beautiful lighting effects. Sometimes you can see raccoons that are living in the mangroves who sneak out and grab some bread from the guys working there. entrance fee: 150 pesos
