It is also the first step you need to take to safely enjoy being underwater. padi is also the best known dive association that sets the standards in the global recreational diving community. we also teach the open water course according to iantd standards, still recreational but more of a technical oriented dive company for those who wants to be a technical diver in the future.
this course is comprised of five academic training sessions (studying independently with the padi manual and video then a review with the instructor), five confined water sessions conducted in cenote manatee where you learn basic skills then four open water dives (two cenote and two ocean dives, all no overhead environment with the max depth of 18 m/60 ft).
at the end of this course you will be familiar with the operation of equipment and trained to plan and execute your own dives safely. we put special stress on buoyancy control skills so that after the course you will have enough confidence and practice to dive locally in cenotes. this course certifies you to dive worldwide and enables you to independently (with a buddy) plan and dive to a maximum of 18 meters/ 60 feet.
this course can be conducted in three to four days depending on your needs and requires no previous diving experience. we teach in english, spanish and polish.
