The name speaks for itself. Probably one of the most spectacular cenotes, partially because of its long geological history. For a long period of time Gran Cenote was a dry cave and numerous formations could form like huge stalagmites, stalactites and columns. It is also a part of the second largest cave system called Sac Actun.
